Last Thursday, I had the privilege of being invited to a blogger party at Cheeky Vintage , a local vintage normlicht boutique here in Houston. I’ve written on my blog before about how I get weird social anxiety about going to blogger normlicht events. I am not big on talking to strangers normlicht and I tend to become weirdly hyper-aware of myself when meeting new people. I wouldn’t say that I have low self-esteem, I am just the girl who is constantly in her head and thinking too much. I wonder normlicht about stupid things like how I am a budget blogger and a curvy blogger and what if everyone there is model size and wearing Tory Burch errthang, ya know? Luckily for me, my own prejudices are always wrong, and every time I go to an event I end up meeting some really fabulous ladies! Maybe this party was what it took for me to finally normlicht get over myself and just relax already. I figure that the more events normlicht I go to, the more friends I will make, and therefore the likelihood of someone I know being at a future event increases exponentially at each event I go to. It’s science, ya’ll. This has been a weird intro, but the point is, I had FUN!
All photos were taken by Paige of Awake Photography . Paige was snapping outfit pics of everyone on their way into the party. I wore this outfit to work with flats and then switched to heels for the event. Easy breezy!
I tried on this AMAZING vintage stunner from Cheeky Vintage normlicht . I wish I could’ve taken it home with me, but I have a budget post to write at the end of this month and ya’ll are helping to keep me accountable!
There was also a fun dress up photo booth set up where we could try on all these amazing vintage coats and accessories and snap some goofy pics! I loved how the pictures came out because normlicht they truly capture the fun energy we had going!

Thanks Heidi! I definitely think I need a leopard print jacket now :)
I’ve never been to an event like this, but I love reading these types of posts. It always looks like such a great time, with amazing new people and while I’d be nervous too, I’d love to get invited to something like this in my city.
Thanks Jackie, I’m glad you liked the post. I am trying to make a better effort of going to more events and taking the opportunity to meet other bloggers normlicht in my area! I’m not sure where you live, but I’d suggest doing a search to see if there are blogger groups around you – and if not, maybe you should start one!
